The serpentine road winds its way to Vallehermoso. The evergreen “beautiful valley” is a paradise for hikers: Active and nature loving visitors will be amazed of the beautiful trails. Impressive mountains, fairy woods and the rough coast are the natural barriers of Vallehermoso. The landmark, the Roque El Cano, is a huge rock (an eroded volcanic core) rising above the village.
Though meanwhile there are supermarkets, restaurants and the internet that assure the vistor to be in the 21st century, strolling through the village gives an idea of former times, when Vallehermoso was prospering through agriculture. The people of Vallehermoso, despite of modernity, remained laid-back and still find time for a chinwag, strangers are warmly welcome for a chat.
To Valle Gran Rey it is half an hour by car, San Sebastián is about 40km away.

GOMERA individual
Since 2004 I mediate holiday homes, apartments and rental car bookings on the smallest & western Canary islands La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma. The first years I was living in Vallehermoso (La Gomera) with my family. For some time the office is situated in Germany, and I travel to the most beautiful islands in the sea several times a year.
I know all accommodations, all house owners personally, take the photos myself and regularly check the quality of the houses on site. My program is small and fine: I only offer holiday homes in which I feel comfortable and which I can really recommend.
