Casa Muna

Casa Muna is situated on the cliff above the secluded beach Playa de la Rajita, the southwesternmost spot of La Gomera – an ideal place for those seeking pure relaxation. From the terraces of the Moroccan casa arise spectacular views of the southern canyons and the ocean. Don’t forget to pack binoculars as the place affords best opportunities of whale watching without entering a boat.

La Dama is a very quiet and remote place without tourists. The constant southern climate offers best conditions for banana cultivation. A small bar, also serving fine simple fare, is some hundred metres away. Restaurants and small shops are located in Chipude (14 km). The capital San Sebastián is 45 km away.

Customer reviews

Dear Tabea,
Just to say that we are now home from our holiday at Casa Muna and Casa Tigot. We loved both houses and it was a pleasure to meet Paul, who was very helpful. It was the first time we’ve been to La Gomera and we intend to go back. It’s a beautiful island with so much to offer. We loved exploring by car and also just being on the beach or relaxing at one of the lovely properties. Thank you.

– Sue and Bernard

We have just arrived home after a wonderful week. If we return to Gomera we know where we’ll be staying as the view, space and house are just right for the peace and relaxation we were looking for.
Thank you for your help in arranging our stay.

Many thanks for your ‘perfect getaway’! We had a wonderful honeymoon – tranquil and romantic – what a view! We witnessed a ‘Bryde Whale’ on Wednesday – from your balcony – it was amazing – so glad we brought the binoculars. Lovely to see the turtle – La Rajita. We ate – at Sonia bar – They were fab as were the couple – Bar Morales. Many thanks, we will visit again – ‘Thank a million’

– Siobhán & Dermot

Thank you very, very much, Paul, for your lovely house and your kind hospitality. We enjoyed every minute! We came to La Gomera with some goals: relaxing, having exercise by walking up the ‘hills’… up and down…, having it warm and sunny… and finally hearing the sounds what sooty shearwaters do when they fly into a barranco in the night to nest there… and success! Your house was perfect for all that. In addition we saw pilot whales and dolphins in the scope. We are very, very happy. All the best! P.S. Thank you also very much with your gestures, when we arrived at your house (flowers, milk, bread, bottle of wine!). It was a very warm welcome and we immediately felt like home!

– Petra & Lothar

By day ‘el sol’
at night ‘la luna’
up above
the house ‘la muna’

Rivers dry
mountains high
foggy dew
in the sky

Goats and chicken
in the roads
on the ocean
fishing boats

Palms and seeds
flowers, figs
barking dogs
and greasy pigs

Olives, cheese
Gomera wine
and your place, Paul:
just divine!

PS
Allow us here a small complaint
glasses TWO just made us faint
glasses FOUR are what we need
to make the dinner all complete!

Paul, too many words spoil the moment! So, without further ado, thanks a million for letting your wonderful house to us. Could not have wished for a better place to stay, chill out and come back to in the evening. Say hello to Tio Felicianos from me. All the best!

– Mischa & Bianca

Paul – Thanks very much for letting us stay in your lovely house. We had a lovely time here on La Gomera and enjoyed the house and garden very much. Will be recommending to family and friends back home. All the best

– Emma & Gareth

Dear Paul. We had a wonderful stay in your lovely house! Thanks again for your help and hospitality. We still appreciate there was food in the kitchen when we arrived here after a long journey, hungry and tired. We wish you the best.

– Sofie & Frederik

We had a great time in your comfortable house. All was at its best, calm and peaceful. Thank you for all.

– Michael & Brigitte

Dear Paul, you welcomed us with: ‘You are very unlucky. The weatherforecast is very bad for the next 3 days….’. And you were right. Storms with heavy rain made us stay inside the house. 30 hours with no electricity and water pouring down the walls inside the house… BUT WE MADE IT. And on the 4th day we were lucky enough to sit on the terrace and enjoy some sun exactly as we expected it to be before we arrived… Thank you for the exact weather details, the warm welcome and your very comfortable house.

– Monica, Marcel & Ian

Thanks a lot for the perfect time we could spent in your fantastic house! We had a fantastic and really relaxed time and a lot of laughs! We hope that our paths will cross again soon! A big hug from the three girls! P.S. Ups… Sorry we broke a dish…

– Kirsa, Maggi & Poto

We have been seduced by the serenity of the ambiente you have created. It’s hard to leave the terrace, its sun and its views, (well captured on the internet pictures). We are grateful to the owners for allowing us to share their space. Both local bars welcomed us, and identified us instantly as the latest residents of ‘Casa Muna’. Amazingly they both produced fine coffee, and a main course for €3 was a revolution. Thank you for the welcome items in the fridge, and for making this a real home for us visitors. We’d love to return.

The atlantic ocean seems like an everlasting ‘virgin’ – and I love the feeling that time and space stands still here.

– Angelika + Robert

Dear Paul, thank you for…
…your lovely house
…your quiet garden
…the great view
…crazy music
…the funny evening in the ‘bar roque iguala’
…the really, really friendly people of La Dama (including the f… Spain an’ his mangos)
¡Thanxxx for the great time in Casa Muna!

– Flo & Michi
